Wonderful fight from Kathmandu to Gonggar airport gives the
lifetime thrill of your journey. An hour’s flight from Kathmandu,
flying over the mighty backbone of the Himalayas, we land in the
heart of the Tibetan Plateau before a two hour drive by land
cruiser to Lhasa. A few days are spent in Lhasa soaking up the
atmosphere and visiting the many sights of historical interest
before commencing our overland trip to Sangsang via Gyantse,
Shigatse and Sakya. From Sangsang we have a choice of either the
Northern or Southern highway to Mt. Kailash returning on the
other route. This pilgrimage takes 19 to 26 days.
Itinerary In Details.....
Day: 01
Departure from Kathmandu to Lhasa by Air china.
After an hour flight you Will arrive at Gongaar
Airport. Then 02 hrs drive will take you to
Lhasa. Overnight at hotel.
Day: 02
A full sightseeing. Visit the potala palace, the
residence of Dalai Lama. The Jokhang Lhakhang
and stroll around the market area. O/n in Lhasa.
Day: 03
Visit the Drepung monastery, the largest
monastery in Tibet. This 14th. Century monastery
once housed more than 10,000 monks. Later on
visit the norbulinkha park, the summer palace of
the Dalai lama.
Day: 04
Drive to the Sera monastery, one of the largest
in Tibet. His yellow sect monastery was very
important, politically, during the days of Dalai
Lama. And afternoon visit to Buddhist Nunnery.
Day: 05
Free day /shopping
Day: 06
In the early morning after breakfast, drive 02
hrs to airport. Around 10:00 am (Chinese
standard time) fly to the capital city of Nepal.
