Kalapatthar and Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 Days.....
This trek also goes through Namche and Tengpoche then heads
toward Mt. Everest. Exciting suspension bridges hanging over
raging rivers and long uphill hiking lets you know your
approaching the highest mountain in the world. Groups then head
toward the small mountain of Kala Pattar which sits across from
Everest and Has the most spectacular views of the mountain. Most
groups then start the trek back to Lukla but if being at the
actual base camp is what you want it will add an extra day to
the trip. The trek from Lukla to Kala Pattar to Lukla takes a
total of 14 days and reaches an elevation of 5545 meters.

Itinerary In Details.....
Day 01:
Depart Kathmandu via air, for Lukla (8800ft) and
a short trek (2-3 hours to) to Phakding at 8,661
feet. The flight into Lukla is similar to the
Everest View flight for views and beauty.
Day 02:
The trail climbs gradually following the river
and enters the Everest National Park at Jorsale,
then crosses the river and climbs Steeply to
Namche (11,100 feet). (4-6 hours).
Day 03:
Namche/ Rest day or day hide possible. Namche is
capital of the Khumbu district and offers many
ways to spend a day.
Day 04:
Tengboche. We Climb the ridge above Namche and
descend to the Dudh Koshi Riover before climbing
again to Tengboche Monastery (12664 feet). (4-6
hours). Devoche is slightly further (20minutes)
a charming village.
Day 05:
Rest day to be used as needed.
Day 06:
Dingboche (14000 feet). We walk slowly through
the pleasant village of Pangboche and on to
Dingboche.
Day 07:
There are several great hikes from Dingboche for
this layover day including Nangkartshang Peak or
one of the base camps below Ama Dablam.
Day 08:
Lobuche (16000 feet).
Day 09:
Gorakchhep. Our last camp is here before taking
our long day hike to the summit of Kala Patar
(18,000 feet).
Day 10:
Kala Pater: During a long day, we ascend and
descend Kala Patar, spend the night in Lobuche.
We follow Dudh Koshi down river retracing our
upward route.
National Park entry permit,
